Reverence & Disruption

I bow down with gratitude for the magnificence and vastness of life on our planet. I stand in rage and grief at all that is being lost. We all have choices to make. I seek to make those choices from a place of love and connection while committing to work with others to disrupt the greed, hatred and ignorance that are causing terrible suffering. I seek to embrace reverence and disruption with others. We should never underestimate what we might do….together.

  • Holistic Analysis and Strategies: I maintain a focus on multiple inter-related global emergencies (i.e. climate, biodiversity loss, nuclear threats, racial injustice, extreme inequity, fragile governance, and more) in the quest for holistic approaches to positive change.

  • Adaptive Leadership: I believe that it is often in the chaos of collapsing systems that unprecedented opportunities emerge. $80 billion moved to advance clean energy in the wake of the 2007-2008 global economic crisis, but we had to be adaptive and shift plans to seize the moment.

  • Diversity: I work to embrace diversity in programming and grant-making, for it is only in this sharing of wisdom, experience and culture that we will find our way.

  • Collaboration: We are witnessing unprecedented speed of change. Stress levels are high. No single group can advance transformational change. I prioritize grantmaking and strategic initiatives rooted in collaborative and creative partnerships to maximize impact.

  • Affirmation of Others: In the midst of all the strategic conferences, policy advocacy, narrative development and creative financing schemes, there are people. Just now, as we exceed planetary limits for life support on Earth, kindness, affirmation of others, and sacred pauses are vital to helping everyone move forward.
